For aspiring and established Leeds based artists we also have plenty of regular opportunities to get involved with such as open calls for fairs and exhibitions too. Whether it’s getting the chance to have your work displayed in an established Leeds based art gallery as part of one of our exhibitions or selling your work at one of our huge events and art fairs, there’s always something exciting happening at Cotton On Leeds to apply to. Make sure to keep an eye out for up and coming open calls on our social media and newsletter.
Below you can sign up to our Opportunities Newsletter for first announcements of these opportunities.
Commissioning an Article
A service we also offer is article commissions. This is perfect for those who are in the arts scene, and are wanting their practice/event/etc to be boosted and shared to a wide audience. Whether it’s specific artwork, an exhibition, an event, or just about you as a creative, we will write about it and publish it onto the blog for the world to see.
This is a great way to get your work out there.
You can find out more about our commissioned articles here.
Work Experience Help
As Cotton On Leeds grows, so does our workload. We would love to have some help behind the scenes. We need general help in running the blog and social media, help in planning and putting articles together, finding new exhibitions and help in planning events and so much more! If you would like some work experience in a growing arts organisation, which in turn helps the art scene in Leeds then get it touch.
Note – the hours/commitment can be flexible, but ideally would be working one day a week, 10am – 4pm.
Call out for writers, photographers and videographers:
We are looking to expand our group of guest bloggers, photographers and videographers here at Cotton On MCR. If you think this could be you – read ahead!
Have you been to a new exhibition or found something interesting? Do you have a strong opinion or something to say about art? We want to hear your thoughts on all things art in Leeds.
